Rebuilding Literacy Tutoring Services was founded in 2025 in Brantford, Ontario with a simple mission: to help students close learning gaps, build real skills, and rebuild their confidence and love of learning.

For many families, the story is familiar. A child who once loved storybooks, bedtime reading, and exploring new ideas suddenly begins to avoid homework, reading, or writing. As classrooms grow and expectations increase, students with learning gaps can easily fall behind—not because they aren’t capable, but because they need more focused, personalized support.

As an educator in the public school system, I saw firsthand how gaps in reading, writing, math, and study skills can impact students academically, socially, and emotionally. When students struggle to keep up, it often leads to frustration, anxiety, and a loss of confidence in their abilities.

Rebuilding Literacy Tutoring Services was created to provide that extra support. Through personalized tutoring and targeted skill-building, students receive the guidance they need to strengthen foundational skills, understand their coursework, and experience success.

Services include one-on-one tutoring, partner tutoring sessions, homework hub group sessions, literacy assessments, and trades entrance test preparation, allowing students to receive support in a way that best fits their learning needs and goals.

Whether a student needs help rebuilding reading skills, preparing for a trades pathway, or gaining confidence in their academic abilities, the goal remains the same: to help every learner move forward with the skills and confidence they need for school—and for life.
